Poliomintha maderensis Henr. Lamiaceae. Mexican oregano. Small aromatic shrub; erect stems. Opposite leaves, oblong-lanceolate, 8-13 (18.5) mm long by 2.5-5 mm wide, petioles about 1 mm long. Zygomorphic flowers, solitary, subsesile 30-35 mm long, lilac, tubular calyx 10-10.5 mm long, bilabiate, 5-lobed; stamens 2; gynobasic style; bifid stigma. It thrives in the Pinus forest at an altitude of 2,600 m. Endemic plant of the state of Coahuila, Mexico. It is cultivated as an ornamental plant.
