Abstract

We inventoried 470 specimens of polypore
fungi originating from 34 municipalities of
the state of Hidalgo, Mexico. These collections were made between 1957 and 2005,
83 of them by the authors between 1994 and
2005. The material is deposited primarily in
the Herbarium ENCB, but some collections
are duplicated in the mycotheca of the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo
(UAEH). The species documented comprise
104 species in 62 genera, 14 families and 7
orders. Thirty-six species are new records
for the state of Hidalgo, including one,
Inonotus ludovicianus (Pat.) Murrill, that
is the first record for Mexico.
