Abstract

Two new records of the genus Vaucheria are
reported for the Pacific Coast of Mexico from
Baja California and Guerrero. Vaucheria
longicaulis Hoppaugh and V. velutina C.
Agardh (Vaucheriaceae, Xanthophyceae)
were collected in September 1995 and May
2000. Data concerning the morphology,
reproductive stage, habitat and distribution
as well as drawings are presented.
