NOTAS SOBRE LA VEGETACIÓN Y FLORA DEL MUNICIPIODE SAN JOAQUÍN QUERÉTARO,MÉXICO
Abstract
The vegetation and flora of San Joaquin,
Queretaro, were studied, located in the
center-northeast of the State (20° 51' 36"
to 21° 03' 33" of N latitude 99° 27' 28" to
99° 38' 25" of W longitude), is the second
municipalitysmallest in Queretaroand varies
from 880 to 2,680 m. The vegetation types
identified are grassland, Juniperus-Pinus
cembroides, Pinus forest, Pinus-Quercus
forest, Quercus forest, cloud forest, gallery
forest and different types of dryland scrubs:
microphyllous desert scrub, rossete desert
scrub and piedmont scrub. Approximately
600 specimens were collected, comprising
79 families, 205 genera and 293 species
of vascular plants.
