A regional and local geographical level, plant communities in coastal dunes differ in richness and abundance. The main objective of this work was to study the flora of the coastal environment tuxpeño, of which there is little information. Ten sites were sampled, in total, were drawn 50 transects of 30 x 2 m and 16 quadrants of 50 x 50 cm by transect. 54 species were recorded (25 families and 52 genus), among these, 18 species are typical of the coastal dune vegetation and 35 are common in disturbed environments and other plant communities. This represents 8.5% of the total recorded for the state of Veracruz. Among the records, 18 species are typical of the coastal dune vegetation and 35 are common in disturbed environments or in other communities such as forests and wetlands. In this paper, Alysicarpus vaginalis, Bidens bigelovii, Bromus squarrosus, Cassia chamaecrista, C. fasciculata, Euphorbia glyptosperma, Erythrina coralloides, Festuca glauca, Hibiscus tiliaceus, Rhizophora mangle y Stachytarpheta angustifolia are cited as new records for the coastal dunes of Tuxpan. The herbaceous was the best represented followed by shrubbery and tree. Ipomoea pescaprae (73.97%), R. laetevirens (72.97%) and I. stolonifera (69.10%) are the dominant species according to their importance value. The richness and coverage among the coastal dunes of north and south of Tuxpan differ statistically (F = 18.06; P < 0.0001; F = 9.55; P = 0.003 respectively). The Shannon-Weaver, Pielou, and Simpson index showed no statistical difference. Effective number of species, Simeon Loredo has 48% of the diversity of benito Juarez. This research contributes to the knowledge of the current state of the dunes, which vary in diversity, coverage and dominance, and the presence of endemic species and pioneers features of this type of vegetation.Downloads
