XYLOPHAGOUS MACROFUNGI OF THE DECIDUOUS TROPICAL FOREST IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF COCULA, GUERRERO, MEXICO

Abstract

In this paper, the results about xylophagous macrofungi collected in the tropical deciduous forest from municipality of Cocula, Guerrero State in 2009 and 2010 are presented. In this study, 27 explorations were performed, collecting 544 specimens and 75 species identified, of which 12 correspond to the ascomycetes and 63 to the basidiomycetes; and 58 species are reported for the first time to Guerrero State and three are new records for Mexico: Hypoxylon fuscopurpureum, Nemania diffusa and Dendrocorticium polygonioides
