Abstract
A list of 307 endangered vascular plants taxa, with known distribution, vegetation and altitudinal ranges inside Oaxaca State is presented.Orchidaceae followed by Cactaceae and Zamiaceae were the families with the greatest number of endangered taxa. Cloud forest was the vegetation type with most endangered taxa. Most of the taxa were classified in "threatened" category, although several taxa are "insufficiently known" and three probably extinct species are even recorded.
Sierra Norte and Istmo regions had a great amount of endangered taxa. But districts poorly collected were evident. So it is necessary to promote basic floristic studies in poorly known zones as in biologically important communities as cloud forest, oak forest and tropical deciduous forest.
